Extensive illegal construction has been going on in the settlements since the end of the construction freeze, in late September. The construction is led by Amana, the settlement arm of the Yesha Council. The construction is being done without construction permits, entirely in the open. Despite this fact, the Civil Administration has taken no action. (Hebrew)

Actor and screenwriter Asaf Harel said in an interview that he would like to be able to boycott Ariel on television, too. He says that “our audience does not exactly live in the settlements. It’s not that we’d hurt our audience, it’s an audience which already has its culture stuck somewhere between the Bible and a rifle.” YESHA Council chair Dani Dayan said in response that “apparently there is no great difference between the skinheads who roam Vienna and Berlin and the skinheads on Israeli television.” (Hebrew)
