Two Haredi women who declared their candidacy for the councils of the Haredi neighborhoods Geula and Mea Shearim in Jerusalem were forced to quit the race following pressure placed on them by community leaders.

The Finance Ministry has introduced (Hebrew) a section into the Omnibus Bill, which will allow people who have not matriculated to receive a permit for tax advising. A similar bill, which was supposed to help young ultra-Orthodox women to join the work market, was struck down by the Supreme Court of Justice in the past.
