The Public Committee Against Torture in Israel filed a petition to the High Court of Justice yesterday on behalf of 12 Israel Security Agency detainees who claim they were tortured during their interrogation.  In none of the cases was an investigation opened, and the committee claims that no relevant response was received about any of the cases even though between one and four years have passes since the complaints were filed.  According to Ministry of Justice data, between 2001 and 2010 more than 750 complaints were filed with the attorney general regarding torture or abuse.  In none of the cases was a criminal investigation opened.
