The Ayalon insurance company, which had insured the prison service bus which caught fire during the Carmel wildfire last week, refuses to disburse the insurance funds to the families of the 43 people who died in the fire, claiming that it was not a traffic accident and that the prison service personnel died outside of the bus. The Police accused the Prison Service for covering up information and claimed that it had not been informed of a stabbing event at the Rimonim prison, which led to the attempted murder at Tel Aviv’s Atarim Square, where Ben Saban was critically wounded. Prison Service spokesman Yaron Zamir reported in response that the stabbing had been reported to the local police station “which chose, for its own reasons, not to send out an investigator.” (Hebrew)
