The Tel-Aviv municipality has designated an area of free parking as a paid parking zone specifically during hours in which prayers are held in an adjacent mosque.

A reporter for the Maariv newspaper filmed police vehicles parked in a disabled-only parking space near the Rishon LeZion police station. One of the police officers cited the reporter for obstruction to traffic, although the reporter claims that there was no traffic in the street during that time.

MK Zippy Hotovely(Likud) parked her car on a sidewalk painted red and white and blocked the road in Jerusalem’s Rechavia Neighborhood (Hebrew). Sanitation Department employees on the spot, whose progress was blocked by Hotovely,ד vehicle, this was not the first time they had to wait about 20 minutes for her to move her illegally parked vehicle. Hotovely states that “in some neighborhoods in Jerusalem, such as Rechavia and Nachlaot, it is customary to park with two wheels on the sidewalk during the evening and overnight, due to a great scarcity of parking in the area.”
