A non-commissioned officer in the IDF’s Northern Command is suspected of defrauding the IDF of tens of millions of dollars, by padding  service and goods orders from six firms which allegedly knowingly cooperated with him in the fraud. The NCO in exchange received credit lines from the companies, with which he bought restaurant meals, bed & breakfast rentals, smartphones, tablets and personal computers, among other goods and services. An initial investigation by the Northern Command after the Nakba Day Events at the borders with Syria and Lebanon this week, indicates that there were problems with the deployment of forces of the Command prior to the events, and that the Command was slow to divert the troops when the demonstrators approached the fence.
