The Knesset Education and Culture Committee approved for first reading a bill that applies the museum law to Jewish settlements. If the bill will be accepted, 15 museum on the West bank will be able to receive state funding.

The Knesset has approved in a preliminary reading, by a vote of 51 against nine MKs, an amendment to the Museum Law, which enables institutions operating in the Est Bank to get recognition, and hence the same budget as musiums in Israel, given by the Ministry of Culture and Sport.
