Golan Yurkevic, a teacher employed through the Karev Foundation, was dismissed from his job in one of the schools in which he taught after he was filmed for an election campaign video for the Eretz Chadasha party, in which he voiced support for the party. Yurkevic was called for a meeting with the school’s vice principal who told him that his appearance in the movie was in contrast to the school values of love of country.

The Police had to rescue Rabbi Haim Amsalem from the site of the annual pilgrimage for the Baba Sali in Netivot, after Shas party activists verbally assaulted him for running in the elections with his own party, Am Shalem.

The Central Election Committee has received a complaint about the continued use of images of IDF soldiers by the “HaBayit HaYehudi” pary in its election campaign, even though the committee chairman, Justice Elyakim Rubinstein, has issued an explicit directive against such use.

Rabbi Hillel Horowitz, no. 13 on “HaBayit HaYehudi” party’s candidate list, is opposed to women singing in public, and thinks that Israeli Arabs are unwanted guests in the country.

Chairman of the Central Election Committee, Justice Elyakim Rubinstein, informed media outlets who conduct polls of his intention to report to the Attorney General, Yehuda Weinstein, about media outlets who do not comply with the law and submit the full poll results, including the questions asked, to the Central Election Committee. In his letter he reports that only two polls have been submitted, and only after the request of a certain political party.
