A report published by the Knesset Research and Information Center indicates that in 60% of elementary schools, funds intended for assisting students who were born in other countries are used for other purposes. The data indicates that the funds were used for normal teaching and other things. The report also determined that the drop-out rate of immigrant students in the school system is almost double that of Israeli-born students, and their rate of their integration in alternative educational environments is low as well.
