Adi Elsin, 30, an inspector and intelligence coordinator in the Population, Immigration and Border Authority’s Oz enforcement unit, was indicted for allegedly assaulting and extorting Indian labor migrants, and in one case he is suspected of performing indecent acts on a female foreign worker. Data released by the Jerusalem Police District shows that in 2012 there were 56 “Price Tag” attacks, mainly targeting Arabs. In only 12 of the cases were suspects arrested, but charges were not filed against all of them. In comparison, during 2011, 28 “Price Tag” attacks were documented.

An indictment has been filed against Aviva Weinstein, wife of Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein, for employing a foreign laborer in her home. Even though the foreign laborer was employed in a home the Weinstein couple share, the name of the AG does not appear in the indictment. (Ynetnews)

An indictment has been filed against a shuttle driver from Mevaseret Zion who hurled racist remarks at children of Ethiopian origins riding in his shuttle. It is also claimed that he forced them to clean the vehicle.

Former chief Sephardi Rabbi Eliahu Bakshi-Doron was indicted for fraudulent receipt of goods or services under aggravated circumstances on Monday for his role in the so-called “rabbis’ file” affair, in which hundreds of security forces officers were ordained as rabbis in order to qualify for a pay raise.
