The Hotline for Migrant Workers reports that on Thursday six Israelis assaulted an Eritrean asylum seeker on Mesilat Yesharim street in south Tel-Aviv. The asylum seeker required hospital treatment for the wound sustained in the assault.

A report prepared by “Physicians for Human Rights” and the “Hotline for Migrant Workers” found that Israel mistreats the survivors of kidnapping and torture in the Sinai despite the harsh torture they underwent, and is detaining them under harsh conditions without proper care or facilities and while ignoring studies showing that prolonged detention has a devastating effect, especially on the survivors of slavery and torture. Workers at the Hotline for Migrant Workers in Tel-Aviv received threatening telephone calls. According to the workers, one caller asked ”Is this the hotline that helps those sons of whores infiltrators who rape Jewish women? … I’d like your address so we can burn you, to do to your daughters what they do to our daughters.” (Haaretz)
