The Director-General of the Hesder Yeshivas, Lieutenant-Colonel (Res.) Eitan Ozeri, has stated in an interview that soldiers should be allowed to leave ceremonies in which women are singing if such singing is offensive to them.  Ozeri also called settlement removal a “landmine” in the relationship between the Army and the students of the Hesder Yeshivas.  He stated that “the Army should be wise enough not to tread in areas about which there is great controversy.”

Right-wing activist Boaz Albert published an article on the “Jewish voice” web site , calling for IDF soldiers to vandalize Army motor vehicles and equipment, in order to disrupt the evacuation of outposts by the IDF.

Legislation proposed by Shas MK Nissim Ze’ev would prohibit the government from evacuating settlers against their will, even as part of a political or diplomatic agreement. The bill is set to be discussed tomorrow (Sunday) in the Ministerial Committee for Legislative Affairs.
