Golan Yurkevic, a teacher employed through the Karev Foundation, was dismissed from his job in one of the schools in which he taught after he was filmed for an election campaign video for the Eretz Chadasha party, in which he voiced support for the party. Yurkevic was called for a meeting with the school’s vice principal who told him that his appearance in the movie was in contrast to the school values of love of country.

Channel 2′s political correspondent, Rina Matzliach, says she refrained from reporting on Eldad Yaniv and his Eretz Chadasha party in order to deny them public exposure before the elections.

Following a meeting between Ynet’s political analyst, Attila Somfalvi, and Knesset candidate Eldad Yaniv (Eldad Yaniv), the site’s management decided to punish Somfalvi by not letting him publish any commentary columns during the next month, even though it is the height of election season.  As part of his political campaign, Yaniv has targeted Ynet and Yediot Aharonot owner Noni Mozes.

The Central Elections Committee has barred the Eretz Chadasha party from using the name – Eretz Chadasha – The Front for the Toppling of the Plutocracy, claiming there is no proof of the existence of a plutocracy in Israel. (Haaretz)
