The 2010 report of the Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities shows that only 64% of disabled persons finished elementary school, and only 48% finished high school with a matriculation diploma.

Police: May 31, 2011

A report by the Association for Civil Rights in Israel points out that in the last year and a half, the friction between the Arab population of Jerusalem and the police has increased, and the police discriminates against Arab residents of the city. The report refers to the excessive use of police riot control measures, detention of minors under the age of 12, conducting special enforcement operations, and giving more tickets in Arab neighborhoods as a means of exerting pressure on the population’s, and as a selective enforcement of law.

Based on a survey of 500 young Israelis, between the ages of 15 and 18, 64 percent of respondents said that the state does not grant fully equal rights to the Arabs in Israel. Of that group, 59% said that the state should not grant equal rights to Arabs. 27 percent of the youth support the prosecution of people who object to Israel being a Jewish and Democratic state, and 41 percent support the denial of their citizenship.
