A young Ultra-Orthodox man demanded from a female passenger who boarded a bus in Jerusalem to move to the back of the bus. The bus driver refused to help her. The Egged public inquiries department told the woman that the driver was strictly not allowed to interfere, as long as it was not a case of harassment. This is contrary to Supreme Court rulings, and the Ministry of Transportation guidelines, which directs drivers to prevent discrimination against women in buses.
