In its Protection of Civilians weekly report, The UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) records [PDF] 9 incidents of Palestinians being assaulted by settlers in the past week. The incidents took place in Qaryut, Silwan, Burin, Hizma, Beit Hanina, the Qalqilya and Nablus governorates.

Magav (Border Patrol) officers have injured an 11 years old child of the village Burin with tear gas, during confrontation between Burin Palestinians and illegal settlement Givat-Ronen settlers. It was reported later, that police came to the the illegal residence to collect the weapons from the settlers, but the latter refused to hand them over to the police.

Two Palestinian vehicles were torched last night in the village of Burin on the West Bank. Hakol Hayehudi (“The Jewish Voice”) estimates this was retribution for what settlers called a foiled robbery attempt in the settlement of Sneh Ya’akov.

Settlers threw stones towards Arab vehicles at Yitzhar junction and towards the houses of the village of Burin. IDF forces that arrived on the scene reportedly cocked their rifles at the settlers and threatened to fire.
