Palestinians have reported that five Palestinian farmers were injured by IDF fire east of Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip.  According to an army source, the five were shot at for participating in a gathering of tens of Palestinians in the north of the strip, near the border fence, and for not responding to requests to step back.

A Palestinian was killed and 10 injured from IDF fire near the Gaza border fence east of Khan Yunis.  Anwar Qudaih was shot in the head after approaching the border fence, an area declared by the IDF as a security buffer zone off-limits to civilians.  His relative said that Qudaih tried to place a Hamas flag on the fence, and that the soldiers fired three shots in the air before shooting and killing him.
