Ben-Gurion International Airport security personnel asked a Jewish-American tourist to sing “Ma Nishtana”, a traditional Passover song, to prove that she is Jewish.

The Shin Bet (General Security Service) questioned four Israeli left-wing activists at length ahead of a planned pro-Palestinian “fly-in” and warned them that they are under surveillance.  Two of the activists were questioned in Ben-Gurion International Airport upon returning from a trip abroad, and two were questioned in a Tel-Aviv police station after receiving a written summons. MK Danny Danon (Likud) said during a Knesset plenum session that “not every Arab is a terrorist, but in the Israeli reality every terrorist is an Arab.”  The statement was made following a motion raised by Arab members of Knesset about the humiliating security checks of Arab citizens in Ben Gurion International Airport and on El Al flights.
