Ninety Paratroopers Brigade recruits marched with the IDF unit’s banners through the Muslim Quarter in Jerusalem. The group of soldiers was lead by Rabbi Matti Dan, head of the Ateret Cohanim group. IDF Spokesperson’s Office said, “Unfortunately a group of civilians chose to take advantage of this dignified event (swearing-in ceremony) to create a provocation intended for the media. The fact that media outlets were invited to cover the event proves this was a planned provocation.” Ateret Cohanim, on the other hand, said that the tour was coordinated with the IDF and officers accompanied the group.
