Haifa University President Aharon Ben Ze’ev canceled a public Nakba Day commemoration ceremony planned by university students only three hours before it was due to commence.  The ceremony was approved by all the necessary authorities.  Earlier, the University’s Dean of Students, Prof. Hanan Alexander, barred the entry into the university of left-wing activist Sa’ar Szekely, who was planning on participating in the ceremony.
