Supreme Court Justices denied the appeal of the parents of Ehud Shneior, whose Duvdevan Unit commanders had caused his death by hazing. However, the justices sharply criticized the conduct of the officers. They said that “the circumstances of Shneior’s death require every commander in the Israeli army, from the lowest to the highest ranks, to know the story of the deceased and know how he must act – or more appropriately, how not to act as a commander, and as the person responsible for his soldiers, providing them with a role model that reflects the values of the Israeli army, while preserving human life and the human dignity of each person.”
