An Adva Center report titled “Israel: A Social Report – 2009/2010″ determines that in the past decade socio-economic inequality in Israel has increased.  According to the report, while the income of the top 1% increased, the income of the middle class has decreased.  The report’s writers, Dr. Shlomo Swirski and Etty Konor-Atias, claim that the 36% growth in Israel’s GDP between 2000-2010 benefited only a narrow segment of the population.
