The chairman of the TV Committee of the Second Channel Authority, Yaakov Shakham, said (Hebrew) that publicly-appointed directors in the news companies are “obliged to maintain balance in the news”. According to Shakham, pundits of Channel 2 and Channel 10 – both supervised by the Authority – do not express enough right-wing views. According to some in the media, “next they will decide who can be a reporter and who can’t. We hear from people related to the Committee that they’re looking for ‘people of their own’”.
