The Turkel Committee, which vets senior civil service appointments, called on the Attorney General, Yehuda Weinstein, to investigate some anonymous letters claiming that Major General Eli Gabizon of the Israel Prison Service had romantic affairs with five women of the Service, and that in one case he allegedly helped one of them to upgrade her benefits, in contradiction to the Service procedures.
