Even though the Labor party promised it will fight against funds dedicated to yeshiva students, over half of its MKs voted for (Hebrew) the new budget during its first reading, despite the fact that included those funds. The party claims that “without specific legislation, this is an inoperative law due to the Supreme Court’s decision. These funds are unreachable and, budget-wise, are meaningless”.
