A letter attacking “HaBait HaYehudi” leadership candidate, Naftali Bennett, was sent to all of the party’s members.  MK Zvulon Orlev has admitted to sending the letter and appologized for it, though the admission and appology were issued only after the party’s election commission threatened that if Orlev did not admit to his involvement it would publish material in its possession linking his staff to the letter.

The Ministerial Committee for Legislation is due to discuss Sunday a bill that would legalize construction on private Palestinian land. According to the bill, initiated by Habayit Hayehudi MK Zevulun Orlev, Palestinian owners could not demand the clearing of residential construction on their land if they failed to claim it for 4 years since the construction’s conclusion. The bill would allow the court to compensate the claimant or provide him with an alternative tract of land that would both be nearby and of equal value.

During a discussion in the Knesset’s education committee regarding “the driving out of Zionist in academe”, the chairman of the committee, Zvulon Orlev, ordered (Hebrew) the representatives of the ACRI out of the chamber. After ordering out attorney Debbi Gild-Khayu of the ACRI after she spoke, MK Ahmed Tibi told him he sent the ACRI representative out; Orlev replied: “The ACRI? It shouldn’t be here”. Later on he ordered Hagai Elad, ACRI’s chairman, to leave as well.
