Settlers and Settlements: November 24, 2012

Settlers threw stones at a school in the Palestinian village of Urif near Nablus.  The building sustained damage and several windows were shattered as a result of the stoning.  One of the Urif council members claims that the settlers arrived from the settlement of Yitzhar, and that they also threw stones at a tractor working near the school, shattering a window. Dozens of settlers threw stones at houses in the Palestinian village Asira al Qibliya, close to the settlement of Yitzhar. During the confrontation one Palestinian was shot in the face, and another suffered a head wound from a stone thrown at him. Yitzhar settlers claimed the incident was started  by Palestinians burning fields near the settlement.
