Peace Now General Director Yariv Oppenheimer and other senior staff of the organization received e-mails which included explicit death threats. It is suspected that the sender of these threats is the same youth recently charged with spraying “Death to Arabs” graffiti in Jerusalem.

Committees of settlers in the West Bank filed a complaint in the Modi’in police station against the general secretary of Peace Now organization, Yariv Oppenheimer, on the suspicion of breaking the treason and espionage sections of the new Citizenship Law. The settlers base their complaint on documents published by wikileaks web site, which state that Oppenheimer and Peace Now have been providing the US embassy in Israel with information about construction in the settlements. The settlers claim, that this hurts the sovereignty of the state of Israel, and it should be regarded as treason.
