Members of Knesset Yaakov Katz (National Union) and Tzipi Hotovely (Likud), proposed a bill which will give orthodox soldiers immunity from disciplinary proceedings, if they refuse to participate in ceremonies featuring women singing.
MK Yaakov Katz (National Union) stated in an interview to the “Eretz Yisrael Shelanu” (Our Land of Israel) bulletin that the purpose of the “Grunis Law” is to “to take the court out of the hands of a small, dismal group of elitist Tel Avivians.” He went on to say that “this is only the beginning of the revolution, until we bring about stability. We are returning to the natural and basic religious laws of the Nation of Israel.”
On Sunday The Ministerial Committe for Legislative Affairs will discuss a bill put forward by MKs Yaakov Katz (National Union), Yariv Levin (Likud), and David Rotem (Yisrael Beiteinu), which would anchor the State’s obligation to invest in expanding settlements in the framework of their “natural growth”. According to the bill, The Ministers of Defense and Housing will be obligated to annually publish tenders for the construction of housing units in the ten largest settlements in the West Bank.
Chairman of the “National Union” party, Member of Knesset Yaakov Katz, said in an interview with the bulletin ‘Our Land of Israel’: ”we shall settle our issues with whoever is responsible for the crime of arresting Rabbi [Dov] Lior.”
In an Education Committee meeting, MK Yaakov Katz (Ha’Ichud Ha’Leumi) announced that he is going to propose a law according to which GALATZ (IDF Radio) will “represent strictly the consensus and serve as a tailwind for IDF fighter against the enemy”.
MK Ya’akov Katz (National Union) wrote a letter to the ministers and members of Knesset, asking them to join him in his call for a national investigation committee on the police shooting at the residents of the Havat Gilad outpost during its dismantlement.
MKs from the Likud and Kadima has proposed a new bill stating every treaty will have to get approved by the Knesset first, before ratified by the government. MK Danny danon initiated the bill, and was joined by Ze’ev Elkin, Carmel Shama, Tzipi Hotovely, Yariv Levin, Miri Regev and Zion Pinian from the Likud, Avraham Michael and Nissim Ze’ev from Shas, Yaakov Katz from Haihud Haleumi, AND Otniel Schneller from Kadima.
MK Yaakov Katz said that the Bedouins smuggling African refugees to Israel ought to be brought into pens, where they would be shot. “We should arrest all Bedouin within 50 kms of our borders, impound their properties, bring them into pens, and put a bullet in the head of the Bedouins leading the convoys”, said Katz.
