Two police officers of the Yiftach sub-district Special Patrol Unit were convicted of beating a suspect with batons, kicking and slapping him, in a Jaffa police station, and sending him home at night without giving him medical treatment.

Five police officers from the central district’s special unit have been indicted for an assault causing actual bodily harm under aggravating circumstances, threats and common assault, against a Palestinian-Israeli citizen, resident of Qufr Kasem. As a a result of of the assault, the citizen suffered broken ribs and bruises in various parts of his body. When the citizen came to file a complaint, the five threatened him and warned that they would take him to a forest and beat him up once again.

Tel Aviv municipality claimed that the abandoned building in Dov Hoz Street is a dangerous structure, but the former City Engineer, Israel Gudovitch, argues that ”the city regularly leases the building to a Magav Special Patrol Unit (“Yasam”) team for fire training.” He also added, that “the claims of the building being dangerous are a lie.” Yesterday activists of the Tens Protest invaded the building, and the municipality evacuated them.

Residents of the settlement of Har Beracha have damaged a police car, during an attempt to arrest one of the settlers. They cut all the car’s tires, and smashed the windshield and windows.
