Settlers from the outpost Netzach Binyamin assaulted a 60 year old Palestinian, Ahmad al-Zir, with iron pipes near the village of Silwad, causing multiple injuries and leaving him unconscious. (Maan News Agency)

The IDF had pledged to the high court of justice to remove fences by the end of 2012built illegally around the settlements of Adam and Ofra in the northern West Bank, which closed off access by Palestinian farmers to their land. So far, no work has begun on site.

The IDF denied entry to the Ofra settlement from two Israeli citizens, activists of ”Yesh Din” movement , on their way to the lands of the village Silwad. The two activists accompanied five villagers, who for the first time in ten years were allowed to reach their lands, which were blocked by the settlers.
