Hired security guards dismantled the “social justice outpost” wooden structure near Yakum in the Sharon area. According to activists the outpost was violently dismantled and the security guards, who were unaccompanied by police, refused to present a legal warrant.

El Al security personnel in Germany prevented actor Shredi Jabarin from boarding an Israir flight to Israel. Jabarin, an Arab-Israeli living in Berlin, was on his way to Israel to participate in a film production. According to him, when a security guard asked him if he can show him a contract, Jabarin answered that he does not hold a copy with him, but he is an Israeli citizen and the guard can treat him like “an Israeli citizen coming back home”. The guard then said “don’t say ‘home’, this is not home for you” and forced him to go through an extensive security check. After that, Jabarin was told he cannot board his flight.

Police: June 16, 2011
Ibrahim Dabsha, a security guard at the industrial park of Gan Yavne, was beaten by policemen, even though he was already neutralized and laid down on the floor without moving. Security cameras documented the officers’ violence.

Knesset Member Miri Regev (Likud) demanded that Jerusalem mayor Nir Barkat remove a memorial erected in the village of Silwan for Samer Sarkhan, a Palestinian man shot to death by an Israeli security guard (Hebrew). According to Regev, the memorial is illegal and “commemorates the heritage of a Fatah operative who leads a terrorist organization.”
