The State Attorney’s labor disputes expert Nurit Elstein wrote an opinion which was used by the Regional Labour Court to increase the pension rights of MK Ronit Tirosh (Kadima) by approximately 2 million NIS. The opinion was passed on to Tirosh for prior perusal, while using familiar nicknames.

A group of right-wing MKs called to ban Israeli-Arab party Ra’am-Ta’al from the Knesset since it awarded honorary plaques to participants in the Gaza flotilla. MKs requesting the ban include David Rotem (Yisrael Beiteinu) and Ronit Tirosh (Kadima).

Limor Livnat, Minister of Culture and Sport, responded to the declaration by 36 theater professionals that they would boycott the Ariel Cultural Hall, that “theater CEOs must immediately rise to the occasion and handle the crisis that has occurred once actors and creative artists have decided to divide society in Israel.” She said that “culture is a social bridge and political argumentation should be left outside the life of culture and art.”
Members of Knesset Ronit Tirosh (Kadima) and Yariv Levine (Likud) have proposed a law that would deny funding to theaters which would employ artists who call for boycotting plays being held in a particular location due to political reasons.
