According to data obtained from The Ministry of Education’s elementary school supervision department, gender segregation is in effect in 65% of religious elementary schools.   The data represents almost a three fold increase relative to a decade ago.

The Ministry of Education is encouraging radicalization of separation between boys and girls in Religious Education Administration schools, and introduction of haredi elements into their education. The supervisor is attempting to recruit new teachers from yeshivas and Judea and Samaria settlements to replace teachers retiring from the system.
