The Lod Valley Regional Council refuses to provide school transportation services to the children of the Abu-Labda clan [Arabs -Eds.], who go to school in Ramla. As a result, these children have to go to school alone, for over two hours and mostly by foot.

Shimon Lankri, the Mayor of Acre since 2003, participated yesterday in the “Ramla Conference – between Israel and the Nations”, organized by the Ramla Torah group and the Komemiut movement, which operates in part under the guidance of Rabbi Dov Lior, the rabbi of Kiryat Arba, who endorsed the book “The King’s Torah.” During the conference, there was a discussion panel of mayors of “mixed cities”, including Acre, Lod and Ramla, which dealt with the question: Do we need a “Jewish majority” in Israel’s cities?
