According to police data, 56 “price tag” incidents took place across Jerusalem in 2012, mainly targeting Arabs and Arab-owned property. Suspect were detainedin only 12 of the cases, and not all of them were indicted. In 2011 police recorded only 28 “price tag” incidents.

Data released by the Jerusalem Police District shows that in 2012 there were 56 “Price Tag” attacks, mainly targeting Arabs. In only 12 of the cases were suspects arrested, but charges were not filed against all of them. In comparison, during 2011, 28 “Price Tag” attacks were documented.

The tires of three vehicles were slashed in the Palestinian village of Kafr Yasif in Samaria. Grafitti spray-painted in the village included the slogans “Price Tag” and “This is the price for stone throwing.”

Justice Moshe Drori from the Jerusalem District Court released a man suspected of assaulting Palestinians on the grounds that utilizing a special police unit to investigate price tag assaults constitutes discriminatory law enforcement.
