Abdallah Abu Rhame, Chair of the Bil’in Grassroots Committee, was convicted of incitement and of organizing illegal demonstrations against the separation wall. Abu Rahme was acquitted of the charges of throwing stoens and possessing weapons materials.

The Yesh Din organization appealed to the Supreme Court demanding to require the Chief Military Prosecutor to initiate a criminal investigation against two soldiers who allegedly shot two Palestinians in the village of Awarta, in the Nablus district. The region was initially declared as an attempt to carry out a “pitchfork attack”, but according to the organization: “military persons admitted that the nature of the incident was not as unequivocal as had been described by the soliders. Two weeks after the incident Central Command Chief Avi Mizrahi admitted that the results of the Awarta incident were ‘difficult’”.
