Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Lieberman (Yisrael Beitenu) said this afternoon in a factional meeting at the Knesset that the left-wing organizations are “terror abettors and nothing more, their whole purpose is to weaken the Israeli army and its resolve to defend the citizens of Israel.” Lieberman attacked the MKs who claimed that the committee to investigate left-wing organizations is McCarthyism and said that “it is those two-faced persons in the national camp, who are prepared to sacrifice the full interests of the national camp, are to blame for the fact that the national camp has never ruled the State of Israel, not even when we won in the ballot box. The right has never truly succeeded in ruling and trying to convey its world view, to lead the country, because of those turncoats who are constantly busy with one thing only: proving how right they are, and are simply a group that has become a band of discerning people, whose whole goal is to justify its existence.”
