Even though according to the Oslo accords Israel transferred to the Palestinian Authority full administrative responsibility over area A and civil administration of area B, the IDF is preventing construction and development in 4,700 dunams of these areas citing security reasons. Furthermore, seizure orders were issued for approximately 1,870 additional dunams in these areas for use in paving roads related to construction of the separation fence. (Haaretz)

The Israel Navy stops Palestinian fishing boats which approach the edge of the allowed fishing zone in the Gaza Strip and force their crew members to jump into the sea naked and swim to the navy vessels.  According to the Oslo Accords, Palestinian fishing boats are allowed to fish out to a distance of 20 miles from the beach, but in reality have never been allowed to go further than 12 miles.  These days the Navy stops boats straying more than 3 miles from the beach, sometimes even opening fire on them.

Outposts and agricultural lands which were taken over by settlers in the West Bank are incurring into Area B, in violation of the Oslo Accords signed between Israel and the Palestinians.  One of the outposts’ houses is built on a nature reserve, east of Bethlehem, in violation of the Wye River Memorandum, signed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and then Chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat in May1998.
