Over 20% of social workers employed by nonprofit organizations or who provide services to government ministries have not received the wage increases agreed upon as a result of their three-week strike last year.

Likud MKs Danny Danon and Yariv Levin will propose a bill on Sunday in the Ministerial Committee for Legislative Affairs which asks to limit “public petitioners” – non-profit associations and organizations who file petitions against the state even though they are not directly involved in the case. According to the new bill, non-profits will be able to petition the High Court of Justice only together with the direct victims. In addition, the associations will be required to present a summary of donations received in the three years prior to the petition.
