The Jerusalem District Prosecutor’s office has filed sexual assault charges against Ze’ev Frank with the city’s Magistrate’s Court. Frank, a 28 year old resident of the city, is accused of yelling the word “slut” at a woman in the Haredi [?] neighborhood of Mea Shearim, and spitting on her, after which he ordered her to “get out of here”.

Two Haredi women who declared their candidacy for the councils of the Haredi neighborhoods Geula and Mea Shearim in Jerusalem were forced to quit the race following pressure placed on them by community leaders.

Jerusalem Mayor, Nir Barkat, deposed Council member Rachel Azariah from the city coalition, after she petitioned the Court against the Jerusalem municipality. In the petition, Azariah protested against the gender segregation in Mea-She’arim street.

A Jerusalem rabbinical court in Mea Sheatim neighborhood condemned to death by stoning a dog it suspects is the reincarnation of a secular lawyer who insulted the court’s judges 20 years ago.
