A military policeman admitted to lying about being stabbed in an incident near Carmiel in the north of Israel. Two 16-year-old boys who were arrested on suspicion of stabbing the policeman were discharged.

The Military Rabbinate recently distributed to soldiers a presentation for Hanukka containing a photo of the Wailing Wall [sacred to Jews] but replacing the adjacent Dome of the Rock [sacred to Muslims] with a halo of light. In response to queries, the IDF Spokesman replied that the slide shows an illustration image of Jerusalem during the Second Temple Period, when the Dome of the Rock did not yet exist. This despite the fact that the slide does not illustrate the Second Temple itself, of which the Wailing Wall is all that remains today, but does show an Israeli flag.
