The Knesset’s Ethics Committee reprimanded MK Ahmed Tibi (Ra’am Ta’al) following his trip to Libya and meeting with its ruler, Muammar Gaddafi. Tibi was reprimanded because his trip abroad was financed by an external body without authorization in advance by the Ethics Committee. Three complaints were lodged with the Ethics Committee after six MKs went to Lybia in April. One of them complained about visiting an enemy country, even though Libya isn’t defined as such. (Hebrew)
