During a Knesset Internal Affairs Committee session, the Knesset’s legal adviser, Eyal Yinon, criticized the government’s new Prevention of Infiltration Law, and said that the bill is “exceptional by any standard.” According to the proposed law, infiltrators could be arrested for more than three years, instead of the current 60 days limit.

In a session of the Knesset’s Internal Affairs and Environment Committee, MK Aryeh Eldad said that a culture of lies has spread throughout the police, criticizing police conduct during the evacuation of the Havat Gilad outpost. MK Dov Khenin said he was disturbed by similar conduct against demonstrators in Bil’in.
