Chairman of the Knesset’s Finance Committee, MK Moshe Gafni (Yahadut HaTora), said during his speach at the pan-Haredi political conference that when a demand to cut 350 million NIS from the Yeshiva budget he did not publish the demand and “threw it in the trash”.

During a session of the Knesset’s Committee on Foreign Workers MK Danny Danon (Likud) said that all of the asylum seekers are infiltrators who should be driven out, and that those responsible for their presence in Israel are human rights organizations which lodge court petitions.

The Knesset’s Finance Committee approved a proposed bill which would give a 35% income tax credit to organizations which support settlement building.  The debate on the proposed bill, the cost of which is expected to be 850 million NIS, lasted only a single minute, so that opposition committee members did not have time to enter the committee room.
