A complaint to the Justice Ministry’s department for the investigation of police officers reveals that the police prosecutor for traffic offenses in Hadera has been providing access to the police’s confidential records to private lawyers and their employees in order to obtain information about their clients. The Justice Ministry’s department for the investigation of police officers announced that it plans on indicting former Jerusalem District commander,  Commander Niso Shaham, on charges of fraud, breach of trust, indecent assault, and sexual harassment. (Haaretz)

The police decided to pass on to the Justice Ministry Police Investigations Department several severe complaints about police brutality towards demonstrators, during a demonstration to support Palestinian prisoners outside of Ramle prison two weeks ago.  The complaints include the use of tasers on demonstrators, punching and kicking bound detainees, sexual harassment and use of racist, demeaning and abusive language.
