For the past week the IDF has been conducting training exercises in the South Hebron Hills, in an area declared as “Firing Zone 918″ which is near the Palestinian villages of a-Tabban, Mirkez and Jinba, and in violation of a High Court of Justice order that also forbids the villagers’ eviction from their homes. Khalil Raba’i, a Palestinian herder from the village Jinba, was assaulted and arrested by IDF soldiers when he tried to her his flocks on his village’s lands, which are used as training areas by the IDF.

Last Monday, the civil administration was about to demolish a school, a hot house, five residential tents, five residential buildings and two solar systems located in Fakhit and Jinba villages in south Hebron, despite a court order forbidding the demolition. At the final moment lawyers from the Rabbis for Human Rights organization managed to inform the civil administration of the court order and prevent the demolition.
