The owner of a vehicle which was parked illegally in Jerusalem assaulted an Arab parking inspector with punches and kicks to the head and ribs after the warden gave him a parking citation. Eyewitness accounts indicate that the assailant said to the Arab – Israeli “your uniform, you should wear with Hezbollah.” (BeHadrei Haredim)

The Jerusalem Police has stated that the assault on an Arab woman near the light rail station in the city was racially motivated. According to the Police, the young women suspected of the assault met the woman by chance, asked her if she was an Arab, and when she replied that she was, they assaulted her. (Ynetnews)

Data released by the Jerusalem Police District shows that in 2012 there were 56 “Price Tag” attacks, mainly targeting Arabs. In only 12 of the cases were suspects arrested, but charges were not filed against all of them. In comparison, during 2011, 28 “Price Tag” attacks were documented.
