An indictment for attempted assault of a police officer with a garden hoe, served against a Jaffa resident, was based on evidence provided by police officers, which turned out to be false in video evidence provided by the defense. The indictment has been shelved.

Gabbi Qaddis, “when the cops last came here, I told them: ‘What is wrong with you? Do you think I will complain to the police about the singing of a synagogue cantor? This isn’t Ramat Aviv or Ramat Hasharon. Our church stands since 1870, a long, long time before the [Andromeda Hill housing] project. This is a real threat to religious activity, and an attempt to stifle religious freedom, which is grounded in the Basic Laws”. (Hebrew)
