HaMoked, Center for the Defence of the Individual, filed three petitions to the High Court of Justice, regarding the conditions of confinement in the detention facility in Petah Tikva, and the deficiencies in the investigations of complaints regarding them. This is after the organization, along with B’Tselem, have been monitoring the conditions in the facility, which is also a Shin Bet interrogation facility, and after numerous complaints were sent by Palestinian detainees, that they were treated contrary to Israeli and international law, and some were even tortured.

Military and Security Forces: 21 December, 2010
Matan Cohen, a BDS movement activist, was detained by Israels Security Agency (GSS, Shabak) when returning to Israel. The GSS people who detained him searched his belongings and informed him that he is suspected of “hostile terrorist activity.” (English)
